1. OriginalLine
OriginalLine is the Nespresso's most popular line that utilizes hermetically sealed pods. They make espresso and coffee and are among the most affordable Nespresso machine options. They also have a greater selection of capsules and drink choices than VertuoLine machines. If you prefer larger drinks, then you'll need to go with the VertuoLine line instead.
The VertuoLine makes use of newer techniques and specifications to give more performance than the OriginalLine. They have a wider range of sizes for brews that include 0.85 ounces of ristretto, 1.35 ounces of double espresso, 5.8 ounces of lungo and 14 ounces Alto XL. They also have a faster process known as centrifusion, which rotates the pods at 7,000 RPM, allowing more water to pass for better extraction.
VertuoLine along with technological advancements, has increased the number capsules that are reusable and has introduced a green packaging system. They use 80% recycled aluminium for their capsules for coffee, and are committed to increasing the amount of recycled aluminium they use in future products.
The Lattissima Pro is one of the best-performing nespresso coffee machines on the market. It comes with a touchscreen display that lets you customize the settings. It also has a fast heating time. It also has a powerful steaming wand for creating cafe-worthy foam and milk texture. It's not as compact as some other models from nespresso, but it is small in size and a removable capsule container that makes it easy to clean.
2. Vertuoline
The Vertuoline series is a more recent addition to the Nespresso lineup. It features a sleek, minimalist design and is the only machine that makes both espresso and coffee. It has a built-in frother for milk. This is a great option for those who drink various black drinks but do not want to go through the hassle of preparing each one separately.
Vertuoline machines use pods that are different from the OriginalLine line. The pods are marked with barcodes which the machines detect to determine the amount of the beverage (ristretto or cappuccino), and add the proper amount of water. This eliminates the need for an additional container of milk and makes it easier to make the perfect espresso or coffee.
Vertuoline machines are better in terms of quality. They produce crema that is similar to the thick foam that is found in a coffee shop, as opposed to the lighter Crema produced by the OriginalLine machines. However, the OriginalLine machines still provide the best taste since they generate 19 bars of pressure to better extract flavor from the espresso grounds.
The newer VertuoLine machines also employ the process known as Centrifusion to spin the capsules more quickly and more evenly than the Original Line machines. This improves the speed of water infusion and enhances the quality of the drink. The Vertuoline machines also use a lower temperature to speed up extraction and improve the strength of the coffee.
3. Original
This entry-level Original machine is a great alternative for those who don't have lots of space or budget to purchase a larger machine. It has a smaller tank and capsule container, yet manages 19 bars of pressure. This is enough to make the espressos and coffees that the majority of people purchase Nespresso for.
It is minimalist with a black design, and the top-facing button controls all functions, from turning on to rinsing and brewing. This is a standard procedure among Nespresso machines. It makes them easy to operate and also to learn.
This model also includes a jug to create drinks using foam. The machine has 11 settings for the temperature of milk to customize the taste of your latte, coffee or lattes. It can also make shorter and longer cappuccinos as well as latte.
It is easy to select the right drink using this model's labeled buttons and the base of the holder's capsule is adorned with raised squares that regulate the amount of pressure it applies on each pod in order to create the size of the beverage you want. This is a good method to ensure the proper amount of pressure is used, and it allows you to know when the machine requires descale. It is also compatible with other brands' Nespresso compatible capsules, such as those from Dualit.
4. Creatista
If you're seeking a Nespresso machine capable of making milk-based and espresso drinks it's the model for you. Breville (known in Europe as Sage) is the producer of this newest addition to Nespresso Creatista. It's an alliance between two of the industry's biggest names - Heston Blumenthal's Sage produces the machine, and Breville designed its powerful thermocoil heating system.
The Creatista's automatic steam and frothing feature is the most exciting. Place your milk pitcher over the temperature sensor that is below the wand, and the machine will take care of the rest. It comes with 11 options that allow you to customize your milk's texture. If you prefer a more traditional approach, you can also choose to manually froth your milk.
The Creatista's quick heat-up is a further great feature. It reaches temperatures in only 3 seconds, which is quicker than other Nespresso machines. The design of the machine is sleek and beautiful and has a brushed body made of stainless steel that looks amazing on any counter. The high-resolution display makes it easy to use the machine for setting up, preparing food and even maintaining it. The machine is available in four colors: black truffle (pictured) sea salt (pictured) damson blue (pictured), and stainless steel. The Creatista measures 6.7 15 12 inches (WxDxH). This is a great feature for kitchens with smaller spaces, and makes it easier to use the machine when using larger recipes. It's also easy to recreate café favorites due to the extraction system that has 19 bars and the quick heat-up time.
The CitiZ Basic doesn't come with a milk frother. You can buy one separately or as part of the CitiZ&Milk Bundle. This bundle also comes with the Aeroccino milk-steamer, so you can create creamy lattes and cappuccinos. You can also make use of capsules that can be reused with this model, however they're not included.
It comes with a large 1 liter water tank and a used capsule container that holds nine to 11 capsules. Unlike the Pixie model, this one doesn't automatically remove used capsules following making them; you have to raise and lower the holder in order to get them out.
It's a simple to operate machine, and the sleek design is easy to wipe clean. The model also has the option of descaling, however there's no designated indicator or button and the process isn't a breeze. Nespresso suggests using its own descaling solution and running it through every 300 to 1,200 cups, depending on the hardness of your water. The drip tray and water tank can be removed for simple cleaning.
